    poor picture quality

hi all,a pal of mine been having a few problems since paying subs, got him back on now,but picture quality is bobbins,i'm from same area and mines fine, his was fine prior to this, watching the footie on ss the pitch looks like its made of lego, picture breaking up and blocking and you can't make the players out,not changed anything, all connections fine, whats weird a handful of channels are ok,can't understand it,we're stumped, any ideas people.

bad signal will give you a lego picture,i would be checking all cables are good even the connections on the cables internally and splitters are known to be faulty ,see if you remove the splitters and plug box into main cable feed and check.
what is your readings on signal quality and signal level?

easy solution, mate brought his s7 to mine, picture still bobbins, especially watching the footie,he's got widescreen like me,went through settings, changed screen format from 4:3 letter box to 16:9,hey presto its sorted, moral is check your screen format settings after factory default cause it returns back to 4:3 letter box every time,if you don't know you don't know and cause he'd had a few probs with loss of service he had done a few factory resets and was using tv remote to resize picture, anyway problem solved.
