Cant get Starview 4 to work

Hi guys,

I've just got a starview 4 and followed the instructions with it but i just cant seem to get it working right. Most of the channells have a $ symbol next to them and i cant access them.
Can anybody help me? I have to say straight out that i am not technologically minded at all so really dont have a clue, easy to follow instructions to fix this would be brilliant if possible!!!!

The $ symbol is for an encrypted channel. What version of software do you have? If you have the correct version press MENU 1570 on the keypad. This displays a further menu, the KEY needs to be turned on. When returning to a scrambled channel, the data will update (if firmware is correct) and channel will show. Let me know how you get on

u need to download the firmware from the link above or goto stickys or goto download section'''''u can download this on to a usb stick.. first u have to flash ur box u do this by .... put the usb stick into the bac of ur box.. goto menu ..goto usb.. goto where it says 1.07 and press remote and wait for it to download to box
once you have flashed the new firmware go into the menu and do a factory reset(default).
Rescan the box choosing your local cable provider.(N*L etc) (Choose english-autoscan)
Once the channels have saved, exit out 3 times.
Press menu and then 1570 you will go into another secret menu.
Highlight the default key and press ok.
Then scroll down to the emu (key code)and turn it on.
Exit out and put your box onto a S*y sp1
Wait for it to update. This may take a while.
You should be now all up and running...hope this helps ...bigfellathanks to ash ,i ve edited his tut hope u dont mind

bt w u can check it s flashed correctly by goin to menu '...system s set up ...system infro..prees on remote and shud say 1.07''''''................also the bin logo file is in with 1.07 so u dont have to worry downloadin too ...hope this helps ..bigfella
