    Hardware suppliers

I am currently using a Eurovox 5000 but miss the dual tuner option from my old $ky+ days.

Was looking at The Box PVR as a replacemnt from bubblecableboxes.com (cos they look cheap). Has anyone on here had any dealing with this company and are the boxs original or cloned. Will it mater if they are ie can I still use the same firmware.

Also any sugestions for a supplier that is any cheaper than bubblecable (wont include link dont want this to look like some sort if lame ass plug for the company)

prob best to make sure u get a geniune machine rather go for cheapness and get a clone....wizard have a good rep for gen machines...also saw something about this company DVB Junkie UK - The Premier DVB Specialist in a nother forum and thought they looked ok and had a decent write up but havent dealt with them myself................/////////..............if u get a clone ..no u cant use the same firmware.....there is firmware out there for clones but u wanna try and avoid one .. the updates and firmware cum out must slower for clones and the machine prob wouldnt last as long ......it s not worth the hassle for the very little u would be savin........m8 i not sure the price but its gotta be worth it for wat u get !! ,,,,,,,,just saw this thread ,,i kno its for s v 4 but shud give u a good idea of reputable sellers ..... were to buy starview 4? (Multi-page thread 1 2 ...it s about 7 pages bac pehaps worth a gander....hope this helps bigfella

Your choice mate but think about potential support if they take a hit. SunRise has already confirmed that he aint making any more fixes. If that is the case the boxes that he has single handedly kept auto updating will be cut adrift. Not the end of the world as a manual key input takes 30 seconds.

The new boxes will be factory supported (or at least should be for now). You should consider a dreambox mate they are simple to set up once you get the hang of it and imo the best for cable..

Sorry for my ignorance but do Dreambox do a twin tuner version fo the box?

If so any chance of the model number.

Whenever I have searched for a twin tuner box the only option I have found is the Starview PVR
