i spent 7 years working for vm, on the installation side, the high wind affects the sat dishes that supply the cable, think about it guys, its not rocket science, if all programmes suddenly appeared from a cable without a source there would be no need for sites like this, here endeth the lesson

If you have paid for the sub you still have to Waite 24/48 hours mate for system to work???.

Sky channels come from satellite and high wind does affect the cable as well.

you're all acting as though vm use minidishes for their sky channels.. IF they use dishes at all, then trust me, they wont be affected by wind, rain or snow

When ever I drive to work I have to go across Virgin Media control tower and I can confirm that they have 4 very large satellites disks fitted on the ground each facing different angle and from that depot they roll so could fibre-optic cable.

VM mislead people when they say they are fibre-optic, they are a fibre optic / co-ax mix.

That is only part of the network is fibre-optic, going to the cabinets and into your home is old copper for the phone line and copper co-ax for the TV and broadband.
