I have got the the box super usb it has stopped working on the diplay screen
it has got written 8882. I can not access the menu. If anyone can help thank you so much.

If you can access the menu try doing a factory reset and then rescan.
What version firmware do you have on the box.

the 8882 error code means the box is bricked and will no longer work, since the only way to update the box is via the USB which is only accessible through the main menu, the box is now an expensive paper weight ..

If the box is new then i would suggest that you contact the company you bought it from and get an exchange, most company's are ok and will send you out a new box

thats if you havnt already flashed it with the latest f/ware as this will render your warranty void.

mate read elsewhere that yu can recover from this by flashing via the box to box transfer method. Dont have one and as such cant confirm but worth a try if you know someone local with the same box. All you would do (assuming its like other s`view) is plug the master box (the one that works fine) into the cable and switch on. Join null modem between both boxes. turn on slave box (your box) and switch on. Then via the remote go

menu > user setup > software update > code transfer > ok

i had two boxes do this and as ezop said its bricked, you can't do a box transfer as there is no rs232 connector on the usb box to plug your null modem lead into. i sent both boxes back and they replaced them. the replacements worked fine, it would appear there are some duff boxes around that die when you try to update.

Gary wasnt aware it had no serial connection. Sorry for the false hope jogiprit the info i read was obviously nonsense. Cant think why anyone would want to buy this box - at least others can be unbricked.

Hi all, i just got the box super usb as well, and I'm having a different problem - when i scan for channels i never find any at all. I'm guessing this is a problem with the cable, but I had a starview 3 working perfectly about a month ago. Any ideas?

Try scanning on tw or a different provider I had this issue in a nthell area (not picking anything up) but when I scanned tw it was fine. strange but it worked.

i know what you mean! for a while i was the proud owner of ?300 of paperweights and not very happy about it. luckily my provider came good but i have heard of people being knocked back. i wont buy another one of these boxes. a shame really as it is a great box when working. will be using the eurovox pvr in future.
