    Newbie StarView 4 and 5

    Hey guys
    I live in Germany but I hav 2 old Star View boxes ( 4 and 5) from England here. Can I use them, because I have a satellite with 13, 19 and 29 degree and a cable connection. Is it possible to update the firmware and enter the codes in the secret menu to view all encrypted channles?
    If yes, which box is better? and what do i need, because i just hav a usb-slot and no ethernet port in those boxes?
    If it possible, can some1 send a link with the tutorial, so that I can try it out?

      you may be able to get a few german fta channels if connected to cable network but i doubt if you can find codes and no you cant connect a cable tuner to a satellite dish and get anything working

          We have bin star4-5 long ago since nag3 came hear in UUK and I suppose you may be affected on similar matter??.

              do u know any other way to watch those scrambled asian programs in germany, except cardsharing?
              I would be very happy if u cld help me out!

                      Use the internet - Many stuff streamed. Look for live streams and the channel you are interseted in !
