starveiw the box 4.57 fix

hi lads my starveiw was ok till november then it went off when i have installed fix 4.57 on it it just said the box on screen and 1 lcd light on the display ,i then tried to load different versions of the fix but had to go back to 2.58e to get it back on then when i loaded 4.57 on again the previous problem returned i have got it back now to 2.58e but emu keeps shutting of and have to factory reset then rescan for channels and enter keys again is there away of updating it to a stable firmware that holds the emu,

the 4.57 fix definitely works. use the loader that comes with it. you could try the 4.55 fix to see if thats any better for you.

i have used the loader that come with the fix, is 4.55 the earlier version of 4.57 bit scared it will freeze box again

2.58 is an old SV1 bin are you 100% sure you have "The Box" which is an SV2, (Starview 2). I have seen a lot of your posts on the issue so am up to date as such.

hi m8 just put 4.55 on and it has gone back to the lcd light and the box logo on screen ive double checked wot box it is but i think it is starveiw 2 it says the box on the front deffinetly not a clone but ive opened it up and seems to be back to front from pics i have seen ie real starveiw or clone u think it mayby a starveiw 1 in a different case ive got cryptostar 1.5 and 4 what version do u think if it is a starveiw 1 and what loader will work

you have starview 2 "the box". i have also seen a few of your threads and cant quite work out why the fix satsmo posted doesnt work. i have used it on a few boxes and its worked a dream.

its says the box on front but its back to front inside frm the pics i have seen of starveiw 2 and starveiw clone its not a clone mayby starveiw i in a starveiw 2 case if its possible

sound as tho you missing the box logo file, the last 1 of these i did i had to first put on the firmware 4.54 then the box logo file in background then the latest fix

Sounds like your assumption that its a Starview 1 in a Starview 2 shell. Or someone has changed the EEPROM in it.

Have you tried Crystar257 for the Starview 1 clone on it? It wont do any harm as you have already used 2.58 on it.

BTW where did you purchase this box?

@wilf sorry posted at the same time. The logo file is there as he can see it but that may in fact be the problem.

i purchased it frm the heritage market liverpool august 08 whats my next steps this is going well over my head now ive put 258e back on and its up sorry he is a dealer in cable boxs but only give 3 months warranty

Sounds ominous. You will find the latest Starview 1 patched firmware here Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview 1 UK AU Fix v1.5

There are two files one for a genuine box and one for a clone. Use Crystar257. The Gtromloader you used to load 2.58 will do as I presume it was V4.00.

So its the same flash process as you done when flashing with 2.58. I would also recommend a factory reset after flash, turn off the SV from the back switch for a minute, then rescan and turn key emu back on.

just as a foot note jckw i do know a few people who have put starview 1 clone fix on starview 2 and it has worked good luck m8.
