Starview 2 and windows vista

    Starview 2 and windows vista

    Thanks to all helped previously...Is there a different loader for the Starview2 on windows vista than there is on xp?

      Thanks mate, the thing is it does nothing for me and when i go into the properties it does not have vista as a recognized format but other win.dows xp etc. I am using a BF 816 usb to 2 port DB9 serial which apparently replaces the 232 cable, installed the driver, but it keeps coming up flash failed as tho its not even going to the SV2. Then again when i dont plug it in to the SV2 the same msg comes up.... Any help would be much appreciated.

          it sounds like a cable problem m8 or usb driver.

          check this thread m8 the starview requires the same as e/vox

            i have seen hundreds of posts with people having trouble with vista and com ports if you you no someone with xp you might be aswell flashing it there it might be a quicker option
            not got vista so i have never tried myself
            will stick with my xp its never let me down
