Problem recording on SV HD Combo

I am trying to record a programme on my SV HD Combo but not having much success. I put a stick in the front usb port and press record on the remote. It then shows it is recording. However when I put the stick back into the box it does not show the recording on the usb menu. It shows the recording on my PC but it will not play on windows or VLC players. The recorded file shows up as an .ifo file. Is it not possible to record onto a stick or am I doing something wrong.

Hi m8 all you need to do to view your recordings is make sure USB is in box then just press the play button on remote. After a brief delay a list of all your recordings on the USB stick will appear.

That worked

Thanks Bytemaster, I had been trying to open the programmes through the USB menu. Just pressed the play on the remote and all recordings listed. Simple when you know how. Thanks a lot.
