    worth coming back to starview???

    Hey guys,

Ive been away from the scene for a while and havent really had the time to bother with TV much! (new baby boy no sleep and defo no Tv time let alone sexy time)

    ANYWAYS!

Moving on........i have an old starview 7 that i just gave up on after last years fiasco, now im hearing that they are back on but obviously one must be connected to a "premium" thingy bobby!

Now my question is, how have you guys found it so far?

be honest, hows the downtime? what about peak times like footie is like watching a feed from kazakstan or is it any good

has anything improved since satrview went "premium"

One thing i have noticed is that the newer firmware seems to output a really bad picture has anyone else come across this too?

Im seriously considering going to the sat side of things

    But wanted some honest feedback

    thanks guys

Read all the star7 posts, boys have been complaining box freezing, channels missing, on and off channels no improvement to the system yet???..

There is only one way to find out the easy way or the hard way.

go to sat if you feel that way is less hassle
considered that myself but thought before throwing a couple of hundred at it and a monthly sub as well i would chuck ?25 at starview for a six month sub

i have sv6 and it very rarely glitches and the footy is very good as well, the pic quality is fine on my 42inch plasma and i will defo take a twelve month sub next time.

i hope this helps as i feel i have got excellent value for money this time round.

Starview server is working pretty well. As you already have the box, it's certainly worth spending ?25 for 6 Months to try it.

Most satellite servers are better but there is much more cost involved - and some sat servers are worse than the SV (or KV) servers ever were.

There are number of people behind bars if you have time to read the thread and ask your self why was the star server caught and owners behind bars last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are 8 posts in the thread and i have read every one of them. if you meant the server owners were put in prison you should have stated so,this fact i was fully aware of.
was just replying to the op who asked if it was worth taking a punt on.

Used to have starviews 1-4,in the good old days mate , but gave e'm up when Nag 3 killed them.
Sat + C/S has been a bit of a headscratcher for me , as i'm getting old ans senile now, but i have 2 DM500's and took a chance on a server, and i'm (so far) well happy.
                    Give it a try !

I have been buying all 2ndhand starview 9600 and combo LANs off eBay to use on sat side, have4 in my house and another 5 else where, cannot fault shame they got a bad name as really easy to use and set up, for HD quality and simplicity and for around ?80 well worth the money, you could spend?150 on some other brand and struggle to use. Would like to see more 9600 in market place
