    The box super newbie

    Hey all, apologises in advance as no doubt this has been asked a million times before, I had a quick search but the amount that came up was quite daunting.

    I have recently got " the box super" from a friend, all was working fine but I lost all the channels and according to him I need to put a new code in, however after reading the forum it is clear most of you guys are running with "firmware" software on your box to prevent channel loss?

    My question is how do I put this software on my box, what leads etc do I need? And what software do I put on it, and how to install etc??

          Thanks I got the firmware downloaded to the pc now, my superbox does not have a usb port that I can see, so how would I drop that software onto the superbox?

              I havent got one of those boxes m8 but i think you use a null modem to flash it.

                  Oh dear that might be a bit beyond me, I take it the newer box has a usb port on it?

                      Nah m8 it's not beyond you. From what i've heard they are quite easy to do. wether it's a null modem or a usb cable its still a cable someone will help you out m8. Give it a bit of time for the members to come in tonight

                                              hey guys, I have my null mode, I have connected the box to the pc and ran the software whcih was reccomended in this thread, clicked download which got to 100 per cent, is this all I have to do??

                                                  Yes thats all you need to do mate, now connect the box back up and scan and you should be away mate.
                                                  Sometimes a slow gradual approach does more good than a large gesture.
