    Alternative Firmware HELP

    Hi,

    I have just tried to put this file on the Starview HD Combo and followed the instructions to the letter. I ran through the 1st part of the load fast and got to 75% or the way through and is now just sitting there (for over 10 minutes not) saying "Writing a software to the flash. Please wait" and next to the loading bar is saying Wait!. How long does it normally take? Done flash like these before but normally very fast. Someone help.

    Scared to stop, unplug or reboot in case it bricks the box.

    I am using the serial from the PC and not a USB to Serial as it advises.

      does the file say for use in a lan or non lan hd combo?non lan box wont work as it has no lan connection.

          LAN Only and it is a LAN box.

              I tried it again and it went to 100% and the box rebooted. Cannot see any changes on it so have no idea what it has done or why it never worked. Have read a lot of the other posts on this and also the instruction a few time but no one seems to give clear advise from start to finish as to how this is meant to work, how it looks after and what the changes are. This would be a good start in telling me if it has or has not work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
