The box super. help please!!

Hey guys, new to the forum hope your all ok. Now, a "Friend" of mine has The Box Super, it ceased to work before cristmas so it was re-flashed. Its started playing up again lately, when switched on it displays boot and ld80, he's tried resetting it to factory settings but nothings working.

Sorry if this is boring, im sure you've all heard it a million times. Will the box need flashing again?? Any help would be appreciated.

hi m8 go into secret menu and check emu is turned on if yes then go into nagra and make sure the correct 1 selected in there

I would reflash the box.

if this doesnt work m8 try hard boot flash .
plug box in mains with power on but switch box of at the back ,set up you loader to download , click download first wait a second then switch box on at the back. leave till complete ,
you may need to do this a few times m8 if it keeps failing.

Ok weve just turned EMU back on ( it was off for some reason) Then did an automatic scan, it got to around 80% then came up boot ld80 and sent us back to the language menu. Think i might need to re-flash it.

Instuctions would be great, im new to all this so its all gobble dee gook! Thank you all for your replies, much appreciated.

First of all make sure you have the latest firmware on the box. Should be 8.04
You check this from the menu - System setup/System information
If you haven?t got 8.04 you can download from the sticky threads.
Plug you Box into your Pc using Null modem cable. (or USB to 9pin female cable- you will probably need the drivers for the usb. You can find these in the download section)
Click on the 8.04 file .When gt rom appears select download.(usually on com 1) Wait till it has fully 100% downloaded.
Once you have flashed the new firmware go into the menu and do a factory reset.
Rescan the box choosing your local cable provider.(N*L etc) Choose english-autoscan
Once the channels have saved, exit out 3 times.
Press menu and then 1570 you will go into another secret menu.
Highlight the default key and press ok.
Then scroll down to the emu and turn it on.
Exit out and put your box onto a S*y sp1
Wait for it to update. This may take a while.
You should be now all up and running
