How to put starview 3 channels in groups

Hi im kind of new at this thing, and i was wondering if someone could help me out. I had my starview 3 box updated by someone and when i put it on i installed all my channel and everything else, but when i came to check those channels there all muddled up. there not put into there groups for example: entertainment, movies, sports etc. i was wondering if anyone can help me out.

Press the ok button on the remote and then press the left or right button and your channels should be in catagiory's.
If this does not work then there is a problem with your firmware or it is not a SV3.
What version firmware do you have on?

i have tried moved it left and right but it comes up blank. it is SV3.
the version that i am using is 8.02
would i have to update it to 8.04 for it to work?

or would i have to do something else?

I would reflash the box with 8.04 although 8.02 is ok as well.

I got someone to update my box for me and i dont really want to ask them again cause i kept annoying them about the problem i have now.

can u send me a tutorial to tell me how to update my box to 8.04 or even tell me how to do it by ureselfs.

m8 i would try a factory reset first before i tried reflashin....goto menu ..gotosystem set up//goto factory drfault//choose english..select local cable provider e g nt l....rescan autoscan wait///,,turn emu on by pressin 1570 on remote to open secret cas menu press default and turn emu on ..exit to sly sports ..wait for update and u shud be fine if not u can reflash by followin the tut below.....
goto dpownloads .....click on firmware u need ..

Use GTrom to update downlown

* You can leave it on default settings usually, (COM1/115200)
* Click on BIN File and select the new firmware.
* plug your box into the PC using null modem cable
* click on Download.
* Wait till it says completed and your done. goto menu .goto menu. goto auto installion ..select your local cable provider eg ntl,cablewest etc then press auto scan..... wait till it scans.....
once you have flashed your box you need to turn on thre emu to access the dollar channels you do this by goin to menu pressin 1 5 7 0 on your remote which opens the secert menu .you then turn on the emu and then the default ,,exit 3 times to s** sports and it shud update wait till it reaches 100 then it shud be ok ,,,hope this helps bigfella you can check wat firmware is on ur box by goin to menu ..goto system setup then system information and it will tell u wat got

gt rom is the firmware goto stickys at the top of the page/////.....starview3 8.04e is the lastest firmware u ll find a link for it there or goto downloads section and u ll find it there too ..hope this helps ..bigfella ...m8 the best way to learn about these things is to read tho the threads ..all u need to kno is there..and there s plenty of good peeps on here to help.....

Yeah i found it thanks. the problem im having now is when i press download it stays at 0% can you tell me whats going wrong there.

Turn your box off with the switch at the back.
Press download on the GT Rom and then turn the box back on straight away.

I've done that, i've checked if its connected properly but it just seems to be saying flash update fail. sorry if i seem to be annoying you.

Bigfella's instrctions are all you need so give it another go.
In the meantime someone will probably pick up on this thread and might have an idea what could be wrong.
