How to delete channels properly

hi all

i have a SV3. i'm wanting to delete all the channels in a certain category. i know how to delete channels by going into the channel edit menu but when i delete them, they are still there!!

i end up deleting the same channels like 3 to 4 times, and then for some strange reason other channels (that i do not want to delete) get deleted aswell!!

is there a simpler way of deleting/removing channels?

can you delete channels by category?

sometimes by doing a factory reset 0000 to delete,power off box at back/on autoscan ur provider and emu to on will remove all channels and replace ones that did not work due to frequency change.
