Jtag Starview 1 Clone - VCC?

Hi there,

I'm trying to JTAG a cloned Starview 1.

So far i've sucessfully soldered the wires (6 of them) onto the motherboard and tried skymax which comes up and tells you the make of the tsop chip but also says DCU error which i'm guessing is connections on the jtag - rechecked and all are fine.

The only thing i haven't wired up is the VCC bit - i've no idea where this is supposed to be connected to - i know it's to do with power but where do you connect it to???

Just realised i'm using a simple JTAG KF22 and it doens't need the VCC.

I've now shortened the cable as it was about 6 inches but still getting a DCU error.

Here's the message i get when i try to connect:

Init JTAG
IDCODE : 1D405041
CPU : STi5518
Fail DCU, Plesae Restart or Reset CPU Box

Is it just my wires that aren't somehow spot on?

try checking your ground connection it is pin 24 on your 25 pin header, bottom row
