What am I doing wrong?

Hi all,
I've just set up the Starview 4 with V1.07, following Lanx's instructions to the letter, sat back and watched it scan & find all the channels, no problem. After giving myself a big pat on the back for a job well done, I started going through the channels, only to find most of them just give me a blank screen and have a $ sign next to them. Any ideas how to get access to these? Is there something I've missed?

Bang on advice, thanks. I'd done this once, but must've done something wrong 'cos when i went back it was set to "off" again. Sat back with a stella now, enjoying. Cheers.

One more question; how often does the box need updating i.e. how soon before V1.08 comes along? Oh, and another thing, when V1.08 comes out, do i need to delete V1.07 from the box first, or does the update automatically replace the old version
