combo remote

i notice that the sv 7 remote works combo ok but once flashed with spider it wont ,anyone know where i can get 3 x combo remotes or does the spiderbox remote work on the combo once the spiderbox is in combo

i have not seen any remotes around for the combo,and not heard of changing remotes for the spiderbox either,so maybe the sv7 is not the same as the combo.

the sv7 remote works the combo ok but once combo was flashed with spider sw then sv7 remote wont work anymore thought i was doing well getting 3 x old combos working but no remotes

right update and thanks to ramjet,he says the spiderbox remotes will work as they are better and to use the hd ones and the 7k and 9k work but he has not tried the 5k,and can use the bored one day info.
important bit was sv7 remote is for an sd box and combo is hd.

spiderbox 7k and 9k work fine for the combo, doesnt matter which firmware the combo has on it as the remotes have always been compatible even before the spiderbox patch was introduced

not tried a 5k spider remote so cannot comment on that one

starview is not a make, its a brand name and the boxes can be sourced from different suppliers

I have a sony dvd recorder, but its actually a pioneer and uses the pioneer service remote in order to change the hdd or to change the region code for dvd playback

so never judge a book by its cover

ok m8 thanks will get some 7k remotes but if remote code is not being changed on combo with spider sw then am curious why sv7 remote controls the combo but not after spider is loaded but thanks for your reply .

i think the remote for both starview boxes differ.

ive used the sv7 remote on combo for years m8 even ebay sellers of 7 remote state 7 will work combo but no pvr function
