    starview 4 usb

    Hi, do you guys suggest getting a starview 4 to replace my dbox and whats the epg and recording options like please?

    if you previously were used to a dbox and know how to flash it etc i would say dont buy a sview. buy a dreambox.

    if you are looking for a plug and play then i would suggest a kryptview (if you can get hold of one) or digivox. both good support, they replicate vm channel numbering, sort your favourites but allow you to edit them as you please.

      Im looking for a decent box with recording facilities on, would the eurovox 5100 be better than the starview4 then please?

        I have a starview 4 usb and so far its not that bad.The recording side of things however could be inproved as from my experiance in trying to record a programme its very poor viewing quailty whilst recording and also its not a twin tuner so if your looking to record one show whilst watching another then look else where but i must say for updating its the best so far and so easy using the usb port.hope this helps you but its only my opinion

          the box sounds aload of rubbish, think im better of sticking with a dbox with perfect epgs i can change around how i want and no sticking pics.

            Not rubbish as such but I would never consider it an upgrade from a Dbox.

              not got sv4 but had sv3 for 10 months.. lost about 3hrs viewing in total, best ?80 spent in years, certainly NOT rubbish. ynwa
