No signal !! is my cable live?

Hi how can i check if my cable is actualy live carrying a signal? would there be some Voltage reading on the cable?

the sv box 4 is not picking up any signal... factory reset and it scans no channels anymore either

Think the cable may have been dc at the street cabinet...is there anyway i can check voltage readings to see if its my box or if its the cable thats unplugged?

coaxial goes into cable input recheck,common fault.

m8 plug your cable into the back of tv and scan through your tv if it picks up bbc and the others you have a working signal
