Newbie Starview 4 USB box

hi guys a friends managed to reset his starview 4 to factory settings and the person who set it up has moved abroad so I have been given the task of updating the firmware, my friend says this can be done from a usb key, so any help gratefully received.

When you reset the factory settings it does not remove the firmware.
It may mean you only have to turn the keycode on
What firmware do you have on at the moment.
Go to menu system setup

Your area has probably been hit by nagra 3-vermin's new encryption so its game over mate.Most of the UK has switched over to nagra 3 now.There is no fix for nagra 3 so enjoy what you have left while you can.
