I don't have permission to download files

Hi everyone, I've got a starview4 box on the way i'd like to install some firmware on it to get the extra channels :P.

Unfortunately in the downloads section it says I don't have permission to download files.

I'd appreciate any help in getting the required permission.

The boxes sometimes do not respond to teh 1570 code, try turning box on and off and then reloading the firmware, that should work if not try it again.

Hi all,

I've got a starview4 box works great!- I want to use a splitter so that i can use my vbox a samsung, one plugged into the same tv. Is this adviceable?- I won't have both boxes switched on at the same time(well one will be in standby while the others in use).
-Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum- if so would someone kindly point me in the right direction.

i need help. i dont no how to connect this box up. do i need to connect it to my virgin tv? if so how?

i think ive got the jiff of it, but im not sure on how you connect the VM box to it? do i just unplug the VM tv cable from the back of its box then plug it into the starview 4? ans also i live in essex but do not know the provider name for the area im in, out of these (TW, NTL, EX C&W, OM, CHORUS, Chorus Cork) many thxs

your a diamond jok, 2 more things tho ive downloaded v. 1.12 firmware but noticed that it hasnt got the logo file does this matter if so where can i get it from? and also if i plug the VM cable into the ST4 with out the splitter will they be able to trace on the tv what im watchin and that its no longer plugged into the VM box?? thank you

If the starview logo screen comes on when you switch it on then you wont need it, chances are no-one needs it now, but its in downloads or look at link on other post you made, put it on if you wanna, will do no harm.

hi guys a friends managed to reset his starview 4 to factory settings and the person who set it up has moved abroad so I have been given the task of updating the firmware, my friend says this can be done from a usb key, so any help gratefully received.
