Lost channels after re-set

Tried to find missing channels on my fairly new starview box eg under diff names but no luck. Did factory re-set and new scan and now I've lost them all. Put most recent codes I could find back in. If I download Firmware Starview 3 will this help does anyone know?

solved the problem by reading others on the forum. Thanks for your help.
Can I just ask will downloading Firmware srarview 3 stop me having to put in codes all the time. I'm new to this,
