Orderd my sv4 today, can't wait for it to arrive and put a big smile on my face. the only question i have at the moment is how many sv4's can you run off 1 line & do you start losing the picture quality the more sv4's you add.

Now that Sir is an excellent set of instructions.
I set up two with the shorter instructions and think yours to be better now. Perhaps I was influenced by line #25 as I did just that unprompted.

Sorry 4 being so thick but what does format your usb to FAT32 mean? (Am new to all this)

FAT32 is the file system that you format the stick to, so windows can handle it.

There is many formats to format the usb stick, fat16, ext2, ext3 e.t.c.

put the stick into the PC, go to my computer, right click on the drive ( USB) stick, then choose format in the pop up menu, FAT32

Thicko newbie here! After I format my USB to FAT 32, do I download the V1.07 and the firmware on the same USB and then follow the helpful installation guide?

Shouldn't need to do this, the file is already downloaded as a .bin file and shouldn't need to be unzipped as its not compressed.

ive went anr ordered one today, fingers crossed it will be here tomorrow. Will it be ok to use a standard memory stick to do all the firmware setting up etc?Thanks for the guide!

Hello, Ive just joined and wondered if someone can help. I have followed your instructions and have tried everything I can think. I am not getting any channels when scanning. I have put the latest firmware on trying both 1.10 and the beta release with no joy. I cannot access the Cas menu at all. Thanks.

you should still get fta channels when scanning. I suggest your cable connections need checking first.
If you have flashed the latest firmware correctly you still should be able to access the cas meunu.
press menu and then 1570
