Hi trying to add to server set up tp in name ip once i save ****
appear on part of line

happens on ID and password all ok until i save

strange one port can tap in 12 but rest when i hit 0 comes up as ****

any ideas >#? thanks for help... see picture below

The firmware your running on your box automticaly does this.
If you entered the line details correctlly and port number etc.. Then press save it does star out the user name and password also part of the port number aswell. Its basicly a security feature, should the box fall into the wrong hands any person cannot see all the details to be able to use the line you were given on another box or to steal your line :-)

as mentioned above, its a security feature on sv firmware

if you reprogram the box to spiderbox firmware using "I was bored one day" you can upgrade to the latest spiderbox firmware from mar2012 using usb stick, use spider lists and softcams, and obtain a better menu as well

BUT it will disable the cable side of your box leaving you with satellite only (so no fta cable channels)

if using for satellite only, I recommend this spider upgrade using a null modem cable and pc with com port (do not use any usb adapters)
