Help. No Signal on encrypted $ channels - Starview Box Super 4

Hi All

I am having problems with Starview Super USB which was working with V1.05

I copied to USB stck V1.07 if I go to System information it now shows
Model ID: C500
S/W Version: 1.07
Boot Version: b-11
Date: Dec 22 2008

I have KeyCode set to On

I then selected factory default to do a reset.
Selected English for Install

If I use the latest keys for telewest 25/02/2008

If I then do an automatic Scan it scans from 1/31 and finds no channels.

I restored a channel backup that I had created before loading new 1.07 that shows 238 channels but all the channels with $ when I select them show Info Box and No signal !

And No matter how many times I scan it doesnt find any channels.

Any help as this is driving me mad I am totally stumped

First of all you don't need any key codes if yiu have the latest firmware.
Once you have flashed the new firmware go into the menu and do a factory reset(default).
Rescan the box choosing your local cable provider.(N*L etc) (Choose english-autoscan)
Once the channels have saved, exit out 3 times.
Press menu and then 1570 you will go into another secret menu.
Highlight the default key and press ok.
Then scroll down to the emu (key code)and turn it on.
Exit out and put your box onto a S*y sp1
Wait for it to update. This may take a while.
You should be now all up and running

Yes Cable in correct pluuged into cavle input socket at the back.

I can reload the saved channels and can only watch channels 101 to 105. even though there is 238 channels.

All other channels say no signal.

If I than do an re-scan on automatic it scans 1/31 and finds no channels.

2. Did factory reset(default).

And thats as far as I get it finds no channels scans 1/31 says no channels and then drops into the manual scan window.

try a scan with different provider

Tried a scan with all providers as suggested and no difference I am on Ex TW 5a01 so I know that should work as my Starview Box 2 works ok

No spiltter installed cables comes direct from TW box on wall to where the TV is.

I do appreaciate the help, as I just dont no what else to try was thinking of flasing back to 1.01 beta and start from there. Im probbaly just stabbing in the dark now.

This is strange I did the follow as a desperate try at anything.
1) I flashed back to V1.01 Beta Dated Sep 08 2008
2) Tried Auto Scan hung at 6%
3) Then Re-loaded previous channels at I could now watch all the 238 channels
4) Flashed to V1.05 all channels still wored
5) Flashed to V1.07 all channels still worked
6) Re-scanned again and it now scans through 1/90 and finds 264 Channels

So all now workinh

A bit strange that to get it working I had to flash it back to V1.01 thought

But thought it best to type what I did in case some else has the same problem

Just need to save the channel file and backup the1.07 just incase

Hi... sorry to bother as you've all I'm sure heard this before, but I've just go a starview 4 this morning and cant get the n*l channels on... Cant get into the secret menu either... the system info on the SV4 tells me the software is v1.03 from 17th of october. I've tried to download the v1.07 from DK but no joy as yet... I havent posted for about a month or so and will try to download again after this message... but if anyone can help me - please, I'm all ears...

All you need to do is flash it? What is the problem and we will see if you can be sorted.

try a factory reset dont forget to turn keycode n default on
