    The box .. Clone?

Flashed a starview the box.. all that happens now is the box logo shows and nothing else..tried reflashing with all versions.. still the same..
question: are there cloned "starview The Box" out there and if so, is there any firmware that works with them

    Cheers Phil

Sounds like you flashed it with the wrong firmware. Are you sure it is a Starview 2, (The Box), and which firmware did you use?

Where did you get this box as you know (going by your thread title), most if not all versions of that model will be a clone.

I have even seen models called "The Box", that are actually a Starview 1 clone in a Starview 2 shell. This may be your case. But before trying the Starview 1 clonesafe firmware, have you tried a hard boot flash using the 4.57 firmware. Basically turn off the box from the back switch, press download on the loader, wait a few seconds and then power up the box.
