starview 4

hello everyone another newbie looking for help.
Just bought a starview 4, its tuning in but will not let me see channels with $ sign. using software 1.03
tried everything cannot find any secret menus, and when all tuned in goes auto to bbc1, does not show number of channels has I thread suggests
help much appreciated,

ps. saw the down load file but do not know how to open it

mate I tried to download the file you posted, did it but
bitdefender (my antivirus)picks this file up as a virus trojan.generic.1184656, seems others have the same prob with this download

there s a tutorial in the downloads section ,,u need winrar to open it,,u can get winrar in the pc section in downloads as well ..heres another tut ......
u need to download the firmware from the link above or goto stickys or goto download section'''''u can download this on to a usb stick.. first u have to flash ur box u do this by .... put the usb stick into the bac of ur box.. goto menu ..goto usb.. goto where it says 1.07 and press remote and wait for it to download to box
once you have flashed the new firmware go into the menu and do a factory reset(default).
Rescan the box choosing your local cable provider.(N*L etc) (Choose english-autoscan)
Once the channels have saved, exit out 3 times.
Press menu and then 1570 on remote you will go into another secret menu.
Highlight the default key and press ok.
Then scroll down to the emu (key code)and turn it on.< > on remote
Exit out and put your box onto a S*y sp1
Wait for it to update. This may take a while.
You should be now all up and running...hope this helps ...bigfella

seems like you are having trouble old pal , bigfella is usally a good source and his info has helped me before , failing this , satsmo will be of invaluable help,

audio descript

hello again, I'm wondering if anyone else as got audio descript running all the time?
I do not seem to have a button on my remote or option on screen to turn it off(SV4)
Tis annoying all the time, any thoughts?

did that, it just gives of L or R or LR,
do you mean I have to deselect either L or R, wouldnt this give mono sound?
when you press info the audio desc sign is on the bottom of the page (along with subtitle and $), I assume this means it is avail if req

no, still stereo...but gets rid of audio desc. my sv3 does audio desc every time i do a rescan. ynwa
