update at cost, i guess !!

i think starview are deducting a month when you update to newer firmware,if you want box back you will need to renew your sub.

is that correct ? can some one please confirm ?

can i still use smgo 2.1 ?

read the other posts,they all had boxes working then stopped on last firmware,now you need the latest 3.00,if you have more than a month on sub you should be ok,people with a month ran out.=needing a renew of sub.

I dont think its deducting a month D12345, My sub was renewed on both my boxes two weeks ago and now they are both sayin July (todays date) and not connected. Im gonna give em till Monday to update my subs then I will email them. It appears some are working but others are not.
The servers are probably busy right now with everyone updating and resending info. Another point, when u buy subs, they tell u to wait 5 - 7 working days so maybe they are not updating the servers over the weekend?

Renewed sub 6 days ago message on blue screen expiry date had disappeared on blue screen put in firmware this morning everything went in as expected log in message now appears with the old expiry date 06/jul/2012 and only last 6 digits of box ???

Apparently there is a server problem and somre of the boxes will not work even with the firmware upgrade i am told you have to wait for the engineers to fix it anybody confirm ???

Some of the boxes will work but some are just going to have to sit and wait. I have a sv6 and sv7. My sv6 was updated at about 4pm yesterday and it is still off. My sv7 was updated this morning and come straight on after the update. Don't know whats up if its just an issue with the sv6 and the new update or if it is just there servers. As for the expiry date on the subs they are not deducting a month off the subs but people just need to be prepared to wait until it comes back on.

hi mine had 3 months to run i,m with virmin media,done a friends who also had 3 months to run he,s on l,orange he,s as come on. contacted support they told me i needed to re new sub and remaining months will be added on hope this helps!

just done it,download to stick,upgrade sw on sv7 all channels back on,also kept original expiry date,thanks
