Missing channels: Sky Sports, BBC, Movies, ITV1, Arsenal TV, and so on.

    Hello all.

I'm a new Starview 4 owner. I had no problems updating (1.07 fw) and setting up the box, I followed Lanxman's guide so I believe I did everything right, including going into the 1570 menu and setting the KeyCode ON.

Now I have 105 TV channels plus many more Radio ones; however there are numerous channels missing, and that they are the main reason on why I purchased The Box.

    Among the missing channels are:

    - All Sky Sports
    - ITV 1
    - Sky 1
    - Sky Movies
    - All BBC
    - MTV channels and some other music ones
    - Kids channels
    - Some Setanta Sports channels
    - International channels (Euro and Asian)

So I wanted to know how can I look for all these missing channels. I've tried factory default resets, and rescanning about 4 times already (always making sure to set up the KeyCode ON), but the Auto-Scan keeps getting the same channels everytime.

I would really appreciate the help, and maybe any other members that could be getting similar problems.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I'm using TW (on Virgin line).

khrno depending on signal strength it may be that simply need to scan a few times to pick up all channels. if you can get a "fully working" channel list for your area flash that to your box and hopefully you are good to go. check downloads to see if anyone has uploaded a channel list for your area.

make sure the emu is on , if yes you might have a m8 nearby with a similar box starview 3 etc if you press ok on the channel your missing you will find out the freq you can then do a manual scan hope this helps.

Sorry mtv1, is the "emu" option that you mention, the same "KeyCode" option from the 1570 menu?

Because, although I did read on several other threads about this option, I seem not to find it on my SW4 system. The only option to turn "ON" in the 1570 menu is called KeyCode, but not emu.

As jok has said the SV4 menu is called Keycode.
Also if you have a splitter try and scanning without one connected.
Have you tried the other the names when scanning like NTL

Well, I got all the channels now.

Plugged the cable directly into the box, no cable splitter, and found all the channels.

But then I ran into another issue, when I put the cable back into the splitter, I kept getting all the channels just fine, but then my Modem would not pick up any signal, so the internet would not work.

The cable goes into the splitter, and from it 2 cables go to the modem and to the SV box.

So I can't have both internet and tv working at the same time. Any ideas on how can I fix this?

seems to me you have a week signal, due to poor cable or just your area you may need a booster, check outside to see if you have a splitter. it also could be a faulty splitter you are useing

                  hope this helps

try the cable in the modem without a splitter and see if it works ok ....if it doesnt then it s the splitter or cable strength,,,first try another splitter if no good try a booster ..or.....if the modem still does not work from a direct feed i e without the splitter then ur modem needs configuring.....not difficult, hmmm something like goto start..type in run type in misconfig then theres a cple of more steps,,but i ve forgotten how to do it,,,,try postin a question in pc problems part of forum or even phone vermin up and ask ..DONT mention ur starview repeat ffs dont mention ur starview to vermin...just make a excuse say ur modem was disconnected to try a new laptop on and then when u reconnected to ur p c ...the modem is not now working,,,hope this helps ..bigfella...
