Can some one tell me what the cryptstar update fixes. I've updated old starview with v2.8 in the hope that it would solve my NO SIGNAL problem but it hasn't. it's not a clone and my signal is good. This box hasn't been in action for more than ayear due to a power supply problem which i've fixed last night but can't get the unit to pick up a signal. Is it worth trying Cryptstar V1.5

Tried flashing with the Core 400 and the firmaware downloaded fine but my problem still exists. The starview unit is powering up fine but it just isn't reading the incoming feed. Any other ideas would be appreciated.Comment

are you setting the correct symbol rate before you scan m8.

at first i wasn't then i copped that the symbol rate was wrong so i entered the correct symbol rate of 6887 but ut's not seeing any signal level or quality. it's looking like a hardware problem now i'd say unless there are any other ideas.Comment
