No Signal - Starview 7

My SV7 keeps saying "No Signal" on most channels, i have doen a factory re-scan, but this only finds 33 channels (scan done on Auto & QAM = 64) my current sub doesnt run out until the end of October

Please Help

sounds like a bad feed from vm (low signal), so only they can help

check your subscription box is ok, or report it if not

On a given channel, press the info button on your starview remote. Signal strength and Quality bars will appear at the bottom of screen.

standard levels are between 78-86 % of those bars

as for scanning, I believe the correct procedure it to alter it from auto to 6887 if you are in the old n*l area or 6952 if you are in the old tw or ex-cw area

the signal bars are full no % given but the bar is full (blue bar)

I have done a re-scan using the below setting

Test One

Symbol Rate = 6887
QAM = 64

Result After Scan = No Channels found

Test Two

Symbol Rate = 6952
QAM = 64


Result After Scan = 33 Channels Found

Test Three


Symbol Rate = 6887
QAM = 256



Result After Scan = 265 Channels Found

Test Four



Symbol Rate = 6952
QAM = 256



Result After Scan = 265 Channels Found


Test Three & Four, worked great and I am not getting " No Signal" on the screen

tried scanning on qam 256 great all channels back on..

check your splitter if not getting a good signal do a direct feed it will improve signal

yes it could be sentimental ,i have fond memories of the box when it worked,but i think you mean temperamental and that would ne because it doesnt work anymore.
the mystarview website has been down for weeks because they are inundated with complaints(I am one of them).
All boxes with subs due are down and in some cases have been for five months,all other boxes are subject to blocking and loss of service for weeks.

well said, the truth hurts, time to move on, starview have had probs for weeks & the website been off does not help, people are left in the dark again. a lot of people have given up on stv. & selling the boxes on flea bay.
