    no lights on front of box

    hi starviewers, just picked up what i think is a starview 1 clone it fits the description of a clone in a thread i read by jok i think it was, the prob is theres no lights on the front of the box ive not connected it up to the telly didnt think there was any point, if its knackered im not bothered it only cost a few quid, any ideas what the prob could be ? cheers

      im getting power into the box ive just had a electricians screwdriver in the box and it lights up so power getting there

        Perhaps you should try hooking it up to your telly.
        You've confirmed that there is power going into it.
        It could be a simple matter of LED's not working for whatever reason.
        I'm sure you can spare 20 minutes of your life to hook it up.

                  If all connections and fuses, adapter plugs etc are good, then it looks like a psu board fault or it needs jtagged, if when you switch box on at back you hear a little chirp sound this is a sign that it needs jtagged.

                      hi there i am an electronic engineer i have a starview 5 in for repair and it has no lights on the front of the box but has a red light going to the digital output so there is power getting in there does anyone have any ideas ?
