If any of you guys have one of the above boxes, could you please give me an idea of what they are like.

Are they reliable, does the PVR work well and is the firmware update process via usb stick really as easy as it sounds, if it is, is there any point in getting a eurovox, kryptview etc, as these seem harder to update.

its a matter of choice m8 ,there is plenty of help here for you no matter what box you choose.

This new box is a big impoovment from the first 2, the picture quality and ease of setting up is really good.

i have had a SV4 since last year about 6month connected to a 500gb External Maxtor with Seperate power supply and it works great just remember to set your EPG GREEN BUTTON before you start That will give you 6 days then just set the record prog - i always leave the SV4 on the chanel i am recordig and it Records great but it works ok if you have it on another chanel but sometimes it misses the start by searching for the chanel you are recording i have saved loads of concerts from sky arts 1 to DVD because you can plug the HD into your PC and convert it with WinAvi video converter

I found the box super usb no trouble at all the firmware is so easy to install using any usb stick/hard drive.
I thought it was so good i brought 2 one for the living room and one for the bedroom LoL

the box is really good if you are "new" to all these, very easy to update etc. i would defo recommend it.

Its a lot of effort to get it going but I've been told it's worth it when you crack it. I have yet to find that out will keep all posted if the stuff on this site works.

it s easy to set up ....click on this link it will give u all the infromo u need http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...l-setup-30784/ ...if not or u get stuck post a thread theres plenty of good sorts on ere who will try n help.............. wizard satelite sell genuine boxes for ?79.99 ...google it ........ u ll also need a usb stick ?5 to ?10 either online or pc world,maplins,comet.........for that u get all the channels virgin supply (not sky box office) oh ...u also need a live cable feed from virgin..dont mention starview to them ffs ...

When u say no sly box office bigfella you mean no ppvboxing?

they have got ppv boxing , u need to scan again when then event is on , it will be one of tvcc unnamed channels

it should also be noted that ! in 20 of these boxes fail when flashing ( errorr 888 )so best buy the jtag fix when orderiing box other that that yes its a good box

you will get boxing but only comes on before the programme starts, you should have it on about 2 or 3 channels. no need to rescan tho'. ynwa.
