More Starviewv4 Help!

does anyone know wtf i can do with this box or is it a case of buying a kryptaviw ???

You can do quite a bit with it, but if you are in Ireland then yes the Kryptview would be the logical choice.

Im thinking of progressing from a starview 2 to 4, is it reasonable to say I should go for kryptview instead?

Up to you really as you are in Bolton you are not affected by an encryption change, which Ireland is undergoing.

The SV4 is a PVR, (allows you to record to a HDD or memory stick), where as the Kryptview is a standard DVB C box. However the Kryptview has better support.

Do we have any idea when the encryption change is due over here?
The box is for my folks they can do all the updating themselves, just thought the sv4 would be a bit easier than code getting when they roll?

i have krypt i find it beta if its for ya folks it mite be beta 4 them as ya dont have 2 keep scanning it when u loose channels u just put it in standby....

with the SV u have 2 scan it everytime there is a channel frequency change....

Cant get any channels

Hi All,

I flashed my box to 1.07 and did the 1570 and changed key code to on.

I scanned channels under the NTL option and get nothing.

Have I missed something ?

Please advise

Hi guys, i have a starview 4, i have all channels, yesterday i seem to have lost uk gold and a couple of others, i still have my sports and movies.

If i did a reset and upload the fw v1.07, would this be any good? or would this affect my box?

any help would be gr8

you dont need to upload the firmware again just factory reset and scan again not forgeting to turn emu on again after

sorry if i wrong but if you do a factory reset you will have to install latest ware as boxes are sold as freeview
