Playing recorded TV on a PC

    Afternoon everyone.
I have a Box Super USB and was wondering, is it possible to watch recorded TV on a PC/Laptop. i.e.) play the files using a PC rather than via the box itself?

I tried to play the files using VLC but it wasn't having any of it.

I had this notion of taking away some recorded TV with me on holiday.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers

    Sal

Use this GOM software - Free, Simple, Light, It just plays! - GOM Media Player, GOM encoder its freeware and works very well with the SV4 TS files.

Transfer the recordings from your hard drive or stick onto your PC and then use the above.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams

yes its possible, i have a small piece of hardware and software that came with it, it connects to the scart socket of your box then to the pooter u then run the programme an click record simple really, its called a tevion pvr u can also connect it to vcr and dvd player it records in mpeg 1-2 and avi, and it has various other functions as well this is how i would do it.

Thanks Satsmo, much appreciated. Was a surprise to me that VLC didn't work for the files.
