starview 4 error

    starview 4 error

    hi all i have got a starview 4 box which is showing either 8888 or 9999 or ---- or 0000 when i power up it verys is this same as 8882 error is it possable to fix how can i fix this and anyone have a idea iv tryed gettin to menu with usb stick menu will not load up

    Have you asked your supplier to take it back and replace it? The 8882 error can be fixed via a Max232 interface.

      hi thanks for the quick reply i can't ask supplyer as i bought off a friend for ?10 it has every error but 8882 mostly 8888 or ----

        ?10 you would be lucky to get a PSU for that never mind a complete box. All I can say is if its not taking a flash via USB then gamble on the Max232 kit and see if that sorts it.

        The kit is ?12.50 plus P&P, so with that and the tenner you have spent on the box its not a bad gamble considering.

          thanks i will try that does the kit come with the rs232 lead aswell

            No the null modem cable is separate. But you can pick one up on Ebay for a quid or two.
