    Max232 interface

Hey all, Ive still got the same 8882 problem with my SV4 and I am desperate to fix it.

Ive heard some people talking about a Max232 interface? I just want to know if anyone can tell me what a Max232 interface is, how to use it and where I can get it. or even if some one could direct me to a dedicated thread on the subject, im willing to try anything as the supplier is absolutley no help at all!

            Max232 interface

Sorry I just wanted to say to anyone that reads this. Does the Max232 interface simply let me reprogramme the sv4 box or what? If this is so I should make it known that after about half an hour of flicking it on and off I can get the box going but I want this annoying task cut out and for the box to work just like my other one. Should I maybe try loading old firmware on to it then relaoding the new one or what?

So in theory if I get it to the USB screen I could just install an old firmware then reinstall the 1.07 and that should work?

                  Hi,
I need the max232 interface but i have had a look at the f-f null cable and my computer does not have this type of connection. It has the male type of this (2rs32) and usb connections. Can you tell me what type of cable i need and thanks a million in advance for the help.

Hi, Can you tell me if its ok to use a max 232 interface with usb conn instead of serial as i see one for sale and it looks to be the same idea. This is the description.(USB Serial to RS232 module TTL UART Breadboard Adaptor).

                    Thanks.
