starview 4 channels

I have 2 starviews one is a starview 1 running api: 4.00e_E and the other is a starview4 ( box super usb). anyway the box is missing a load of channels, I thought at first it was the dreaded nagra 3( I'm in the southeast of Ireland by the way) then I checked my starview 1 and all the missing channels were working ( except s*y movies and sports) I read a couple of threads here saying it was a bug in the firmware ( version 1.09).
So my 2 questions are this 1. would there be any point in downgrading the software back to version 1.01 or 1.05 and would it damage the box?
2. Is it possible to put the software from the starview 1 onto the starview 4 ( they're both starview) would doing this do any damage to the box.

if all the starview software was interchangable then that would be great but sorry to say they are not,i know this because i visit other forums,and it is a fault with the starview4 firmware,and sadly there seems to be no move by the starview guys to fix it.good luck mate.
