some basic channels not working on Starview USB

I'm trying to sort a friends Starview USB. Some of the more basic channels are not working but are working on my Starview The box which is older. If i turn on network 2 or tv3 on my Box it takes upto 3 seconds for the picture and audio to come through but on the Starview USB the picture soesn't come through at all. The keys are correct and i've tried updating the firmware to a more recent version but it's no good.
I'm in Waterford Ireland.
Is anyone else having the same problem?

yes everybody in irl with this box,only getting around 5-10 channels=no fix running on n*l.it seems its that box only as sv1 ok.
