    starview 2 updating problem

    hi all the psu burned out on my box then when i replaced it and booted the box back up the firmware 8.02e/E wouldnt scan for channels so i went to the latest firmware for the starview 2 the box 4.57 firmware flashed ok then went to scan on telewest and its picking no channels up or even signal put 8.02e back on and still nothing have i to flash with an earlier firmware first or is there a way to rescan i am not trying any help please emu is turned on signal is fine set default key and still nothing its doin my head in now any help please

    Are you sure the PSU is still giving out the correct voltage output to the main board? The tuner is reliant upon this also.

    Leave 4.57 on it and connect the coax from the main feed to the Output RF socket on the back of the box as opposed to the usual RF In socket.

    Carry out a factory reset and scan again. Try all providers.

      yes ithink the psu is fine its a new one and it booted up straight away im know spark but it seems to power up with no probs thanks m8 ill try when i can get a connector do you mean cable out i guess thanks again

        Yes cable out. You can check the voltage output from the ribbon on the PSU. The correct voltage outputs are wrote next the molex plug on the PCB.

        Hope the tuner hasnt gone along with the PSU. Did you buy it as faulty?

          no m8 the wife insists on turning the thing off at switch on the back weve had it 18 months it just wouldnt power up yesterday so i got the new psu and swapped it ,it was brand new when we got it ill try and do the scan on the output connector first ill let you know how i got on thanks again

              ive tried what satsmo said and ive still got nothing i think its a new box now for me the tuner must have gone
