step by step guide to updating sv4 the box super usb

can someone give me a step by step guide to updating sv4 the box super usb.

i've d'led the .bin file, but do i extract it or leave it as it is, also ive heard you can get problems when you insert the flash drive w/o switching the box off first or something?
