been offered a starview 2 but it has one problem when you power it up all it says is ON. any ideas on what the problem could be and how to sort it out.

if it says on ...it sounds to me that it needs a auto scan to scan the channs in...hook it up to your telly and give it a whirl. once you have scanned you will need to turn the emu on by pressin menu 1570 on the remote if this does not let you in it probably has no firmware on it...but with it being a sv2 i would presume it has had something on it as it is 3/4 year old now...prob abit more info needed to really diagnose the prob like what happens when you hook it up and scan... could just be a bad flash -
