    I am almost sure that unfortunately there wont be a fix for the SV4 in Ireland.

          Your best bet is to dump your Cable and change over to satellite, you have a few choices 1. Freesat 2.Freesat from sky will give you most of the PSB (Public service broadcasts) Free ... Freesat from Sky requires a card can be found on ebay... & Finally a motorised satellite system you get you hundreds of channels across Europe some will open with Keys much like your cable receiver and there is of course card sharing (banned discussion on DK) thats the only way forward untill (if ever N3 is hacked)

              buy a box that works like TGM220 :: and then if ever you *need to change to satellite you just need to change the tuner
              boom!
