can anyone help im new to all this just got a new box super usb and have took it out of the box , done the scan and im getting some channels how do i get extra ones .. thanks

that box is giving big trouble at the moment in some areas but youll need to update the firmware with the usb stick that came with it.
To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port
at the back of the receiver. Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB
at the bottom of the screen. Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the
(Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen. Highlight the Box Super USB Bin File with the
remote and press th ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box.Do not touch the remote or the box for at least
30 seconds after the box has rebooted other wise you will end up with a dead box displaying 8882 on the display there is no way to
recover this box after this happens you will have to send back to the supplier

After you have uploaded the software from your memory stick,


? Plug the box in to the TV using the usual scart lead.

? Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,

? Select correct provider i.e. N**, C/W or TW ch***s

? Then automatic scan

? Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen

? Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to a secret menu,

? Go down to K*y CODE and turn it on.

? Now exit and wait for it to store all the data.

You need to update the firmware through software you can get off other people on here, as far as i know the 8.04 version works but you need a 9 pin usb cable to update, but delete older versions on the box before updating. hope this helps

putting new s/ware on will delete old s/ware...look in stickies, all info there..ynwa

i thought sv4 has usb and files were v1.07 and v1.09 ?and u can use v1.09 in uk aswell.

think v1.09 was just released for Ireland,didnt think it had the english providers in it

some people are using it as i thought it was an irl only file but read yesterday it can be used as someone had problems with v1.07 and changed to v1.09 and he reported back much better.might depend on locality and provider.
