Digivox XL Starview Problems

Hi guys,

Until a couple of days ago I hadn't had any trouble with my digivox xl since last November, I had all the channels. The all of a sudden I went to use it and all the paying channels siad 'Scrambled Or Bad Channel'.It has Starview firmware on it but not sure which one it was. So i downloaded the starview 2 latest firmware and loader as it is about 18 months old and flashed it but all i keep getting is Scrambled or bad channel.
I have a spare box which I tested and that is still working fine. Do you think the box i have been using has gone faulty or am I doing something wrong, I am quite the novice!!! Any help much appreciated.........

Oh and the other thing was on the screen on the box it just says 5000

check your emu is on check keys someone may have did a factory reset

Yes the emu key is on but wot do u mean about checking keys, if it's flashed shouldn't it find the keys itself? Sorry if I'm gettin mixed up!

Yes I have the latest firmware which is why Im havin trouble understanding why it's not working. Is the digivox xl and starview the same thing also???

I suggest you use the link MTV1 sent you and reflash your box..It wont do any harm...

No digivox and Starview are 2 diff boxes.......but the menus look simular....

Once u have reflashed ya box do a factory reset and then do a scan u should be ok...........any probs come bak

ok will try when I get home. How come when I press the menu button It actually says starview on the top though?

first of all what name is on front of box,all boxes have their own firmware and are not interchangeable.

it says digivox xl on the front but on the menu it says starview with stars around the menu also

Also if they're different boxes how come there's no digivox forum on here are they not as popular as eurovox etc??

there is info in forum for digivox xl all black box ,firmware is v1341 and downloader 10.
