Star view hd combo plus with LAN

    Hello,

Based in St Helens, North West (just by Liverpool)

I can get one of these boxes from someone today and he says it either has carling or groove rider on.

I have no idea about the boxes, we are virgin cable users.

Would this box work for us and allow us to get the HD channels, sport an movies etc?

yes m8 you can get all the certain channels you mentioned with this box, either using its sat input or its cable feed. its pretty straight forward provide you know how to programme the box and be able to input the required data. theres plenty of how too tutorials knocking about on the forums or google.

starview is a bad taste left in peoples mouths but mainly for the sv6 and sv7 with subs and no service, the box can work now on cable, and always worked on sat, however its the other extra needed to get to viewing the channels to open them that the forum rules state no talking of card sharing, best to use google and yes more money.

even if you got a sat dish setup you would get around 100 channels or more to view,so not a brick.
