Firmware v1.10 works on my stv super 3usb

Hi, For info, I just downloaded and installed v1.10 firmware onto my stv super usb3 and now have almost all stations back incl. ppv. Only missing bbc1/2, sky 1 and ch4. I'm in ireland using nthell so maybe this could be useful info for others. I'm delighted anyway . . . For as long as it lasts. . .

would not recomend it as u can brick it,as it is not for that box.

Hi Eirejk, what did you use to load the software onto your box?? I know they say it will brick it, but in fairness it can't get much worse.......

Downloaded the v1.10 firmware and the bin file. Ran the bin file first and used a portable hard disk and usb to load it.

It wont work on a Starview 3 I can almost gaurantee that. You say you used a USB to flash it, the SV3 has a serial port?

Ok. I have the box super usb. Its black and its a genuine box as far as i can tell. I downloaded the firmware and used the usb and a hard disk to load it. I can also record to the hard disk thru the usb. That's all i can tell you. Dont know loads about this stuff but the box has not worked for a fair while and now it does with the exception of a few stations so i guess i have maybe fluked a good result as its working for 3 days now.

You have flashed the correct box then You told people you had the previous model and the bin file for the SV4 worked on it.

m8 u have the starview usb 4 not 3...the firmware 1.10 was designed to solve the problems in irelandwith regards nag 2,,,glad u r sorted tho.....have heard the other channels have been on nag 1 and will soon be on nag 2(from a thread on ere ) so if u do a rescan ,press default n turn keycode on u shud get them bac

Thanks for letting me know. So which one do i have then for future forums. It says starview the box super usb on the front so which number box do i have. Is it 3 or 4.

You have 4 as stated above and so correctly flashed your box but thought it was an SV3.

So no the SV4 does not work on any other Starview.
