Yes its across quite a few forums now at least Zemme the owner of that particular shop gives something back by creating a guide.

I have also seen the Beta kill the bootloader on some very early genuine models, (first batch release), so its a hard call. But it will definitely kill a clone.

Thanks for the info on how to identify a SV4 clone. I now realise that I have a clone (thanks very much Sat & Cable). My box works fine with 1.07, so I do not propose to do anything. However, is there any chance that fixes for clones will become available?
