will starview 1 not work in ireland?

hi guys im living in ireland just wondering ive flashed my starview 1 box with the latest firmware and done a scan but does'nt seem to working with the scrambled ones its picking up some free channels am i wasting my time with this box?,is it only kryptview that work here for now......

i live in galway,provider is ntl

And you are sure it's true cable and not mmds?

If you are ntl true cable the only boxes currently working on n2 are Starview 4 usb, kryptview arnet, Itgates, Dreambox, Dbox, and ipbox.

It looks highly unlikely that a fix will be released for the SV1, 2 or 3, but you never know.

wots the diffrence between cable and mmds,its ntl digital i think all i know is that its a cable coming in from a box outside!

mmds there would be an aerial on the roof, if you are galway city you are prob true cable.
